  1. You did a good job, enjoyed the videos though they were a bit long. Thats neat that she was on Dancing with the stars and wrote a book. It's too bad that she can't continue on in her career. Good visual, and overall good presentation.

  2. I learned a lot about Shawn Johnson because of this presentation. I thought it was really cool that she was only fifteen when she was in the olympics. I also think that the group did a good job at showing how she chased her dreams. They also showed how she doesn't rub her talent in other people faces and that she is modest. I think that proves how strong of a person she really is especially since she tore her acl. I think that this presentation was done well and explained her as an American dreamer.

  3. One thing I really liked about the presentation is how you compared how gymnastics functioned in past Olympics to how they function now and what is expected of the gymnasts in the current competitions. I cant really think of a way to improve upon this due to the fact that I know very little about what type of information could have been added.

  4. From this presentation i learned who she was and what she done throughout her life because i didn't know who she was at all. I also liked the list of awards that you guys put up it showed how accomplished she was in that sport. The video was very helpful in showing us how talented she really was because i don't think one could put in to words what she was capable of doing. The only thing i would have wanted to know a little more about was her injury and how that affected her life and her mind state after she was hurt and couldn't do what she loved anymore. Excellent job!!

  5. I was really interested in this presentation because I think Shawn is a great role model. It's crazy that she is my age but has already accomplished so much and can already retire. I didn't know that the reason she couldn't compete any more is because she got hurt, thats extremely sad because she probably could have went on to win more medals. I didn't know that someone had once told her that she wasn't any good. I think she is a good explain of a dreamer.

  6. This was a very well done presentation. The usage of the videos helped show why she was such a good performer. It was interesting to note that she did this when she was 15 when she first went to the Olympics.

  7. I thought the video you showed was very good and very interesting. I think it is crazy what gymnast do because that is literally their whole childhood. Also to think that she is now retired is crazy too. The only things I would fix is the slides. I thought they were a little too boring. The slides should have been more for presenting and not for your own notes. Also, I didn't love the comparison. I knew who Shawn was before this but to help others I think a better comparison would have been to this years Olympians like gabby Douglas.

  8. I think it is amazing that she was in the Olympics at the age of 15/16. I couldn't imagine having that much pressure put on me even at being 20. The video was very helpful in showing all of the obstacles she goes through and everything she competes in. She is a very well-rounded gymnast. I also thought the comparison was a good way to show how some of the things have changed over time, but I think you should have talked a little more about that and showed how they are similar too.

  9. I enjoyed the video that you showed. It shows how committed Shawn Johnson had to be to compete at her level. It is crazy how determined some people can be when they set their mind to it. The only thing I think you could have done better on is maybe more background of her early life, and how she got into gymnastics.

  10. The videos you showed really helped show us the difference between back then and now. I think Shawn is a great role model for kids anywhere. She was a dedicated young girl who accomplished her dream. Your project was well done and i really liked it. I used to do gymnastics and it brought back memories for me. Good job guys:)

  11. I really enjoyed being able to see how someone closer to our age has accomplished so much. You did a great job of presenting Shawn as someone who can inspire others. The videos you guys showed us really showcase her skill, she was an amazing gymnist, and I think her story is fascinating.

  12. I absolutely loved the video you guys chose of her. It was very inspirational. I didn't really know who she was until the presentation but I have such a great appreciation for her. This goes to show that hard work really does pay off! It's really sad that through all of her gymnastics and dancing and everything else, her career had to be cut short because of a ski accident! Who would have ever thought!! Great presentation!

  13. I really enjoyed this presentation for two reasons. The first being that you two did a good job of showing us who Shawn is and the second being that Shawn is hot. Good job.

  16. I did not realize that Shawn Johnson was told by her coach that she would never be great. She definitely proved him wrong. I would like to know more about what she is doing now for a profession.
